Needed help on 50mm 1:1.8

Dear fellow follks...

Recently, my dad dig out a 50mm 1:1.8 without D from his cupboard. He told me it was 10 years back since his F4 age. As I am a newbie in photography, may i know whether should i send this lens for servicing as it has not been used for 10 years plus? Thanks for the help below are some of the pic taken from this lens. Btw, wats the diff between the one with D and the one without? Really appreciate all the kind helps....
