Default Personal Portfolio... Who still does it...

    In hardcopy!

I'm wondering about how many of u guys still do ur photos up 5R or 8R on black stiff cardboard-like paper in hardcopy rather den softcopy these days?

I'm thinking of doing one up. Any advice?

I think many ppl are still doing hardcopy.
When meeting with clients, it is much better to show the hardcopy photos than look at the LCD/monitor.

Hmm.... For portfolios, any 'standard size' print u guys would recommend? 5R, 6R or 8R?

i guess it would depend on what kind of portfolio are u planning to do?
    like weddings, products etc?

not that i'm any expert here, but perhaps a mixture?
maybe 1-2 8R ones that you feel is really impressive, and the rest prob abt 4R...?

thats just my personal preference anyway... =)

Hmm... Juz a personal profile. Nothing much, to showcase my works. Next time old liao, instead of digging out one whole bunch of photos, I can dig out the specific few and show it to my grandchildren kinda thing. Make them go 'wow' at least.

Of cos, might come in handy if I wanna earn some pocket money on Wedding assignments.

So will 5R be a good bet, and a few 8Rs for the stunning ones?

I print a variety of sizes from 4R to 8R, and the occasional A3 for my personal portfolio. Not for clients (I don't really market my work commercially) but mainly for my own persoanl gratification, I enjoy seeing my own work in print.
