Benny's New Lips

Hi,

Last year, I had the opportunity to accompany a group of Singapore doctors on a community service mission to the Indonesian city of Malang. Their work was to operate on children with cleft palate (split lips) and they worked on about 70 kids in a week. I thought I'd share my attempt to document one of the cases, a little boy named Benny. The first photo below shows Benny just outside the op theatre, waiting to go in....
