Default Kallang Riverside park sunrise Part 2

    1. in what area is critique to be sought?
    Composition and post-processing

    2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
Showing the fiery sunrise in it's full glory and a natural looking panorama

    3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
After getting feedback from the shifus from my previous post (http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/criti...k-sunrise.html), I revisited this location for a re-shoot on a less gloomy day and was treated with this sight

    Exposure: 1/4s, F11, ISO100
PP: Stitched 3 shots, adjusted exposure and slightly on saturation

    4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
Composition is my weak point... the reflections were nice so put the horizon in the middle.

Stitched 3 shots (as was previously suggested) so that I can show the nice colours in the sky more thoroughly. Could have shown more vertically, but then the railings in front of me will show and are distracting... probably have to find another spot without them or 'upgrade' my tripod so that my camera can stick out of the railings to exclude it

(the tide was higher this day so the 'breakwaters' from my previous shot were submerged, thus didn't try the exact same angle =p)

great improvement from your previous! keep shooting, start a landscape thread as well perhaps, that's another way to continuously learn.

Wa.....you went back to re-shoot and that is great effort... On top of this, you have a great sunrise. Nit pick - Would prefer to have a little more top and bottom.Photo is a little noisy, and PP can further improve. LE can be just a little longer. For this pano, the horizon is quite busy and having some distraction to the beautiful sky and reflection.

    Overall is great effort

Thanks Manita for dropping by, and congrats now you're officially 'senior'

Yup critique and nit-pick all welcome so I can learn

Agree with all the points you brought out. On hindsight I would also like more space above and below... Unfortunately there was railings in front of my camera, my tripod doesn't have the adjustable centre column that can tilt, didn't try any heroic measures like going into the water, and haven't tried spending the time to clone them off in another photo with more space... Have to remember the pros do everything to get the shot, I'm still quite easily contented

    Thanks again for your comments
