Well, took some shots... i didnt expect to pop by a camera shop today so i didn't have any cf cards with me. The shop guy let me try it out with a grey version of the 28-70mm AFS lens. Loved the feel, the weight (nice n heavy) and the speed - thinking over, i don't really need the D2H at the moment. I have my D70 and I've yet to push it to the max... Anyways, just to inform you guys that there's the camera for sale at that price. If anyone wants, do drop me a PM. cheers!

2100: the price was fixed at Baht-86,000... on a display along with a whole lot of other Nikon, Olympus and Canon cameras and a range of 3rd party lenses. There were prices on little papers in plastic holders and that was the price on it. If its 'Too Good To Be True' to you, so be it. I know the price sounds REDICULOUSLY low... But thats the truth. Maybe I haven't earned enough credit on this forum to be as credible as some of the others here but I'm being totally honest and truthful. Syrinx I believe, can vouch for me as someone u can trust - if you've met Syrinx b4... I hope that there wouldn't be anymore misunderstandings. The camera being 3600 SGD is true and if you really are interested in it, please just PM me. This isnt some hoax on ebay or yahoo auctions etc... Thanks.

Nathaniel

my apologies for being so 'touchy' today... no excuses i guess (i did happen to just come back frm a 3hr ride frm bkk that was stuffy, in an overloaded van blasting insanely loud thai rock music though...). apologies to espn. hope im forgiven. sincerely, me.

as for this set... as espn has pointed out... might have been heavily 'tested' out by customers before... ie: by me. I tried it and its in new condition... seems to be working alright with no problems. its your risk - in taking my word that its alright after i test it. yupz... i guess thats all other than that! just informing! cheers

ParkertR, actually I believe it is 3.6k. In fact, i wish it was below 3.6k. The faster the better.... Wah lao, the price I know someone who just got it from the states I see also gian, even after taxes it's very comfortably below 3k.

i dont think $3.6k is an unreasonable and too good to be true price.. knowing that the US have been selling for US$1.9k a pop for quite some time now.. i thnk its about time asian markets reflect those changes..

Yah, i've ordered my D2H close to SG$3300 in US. $3.6k isn't unreasonable. Actually its very reasonable considering you get to test it out and make sure its fine.

Better buy now if you are interested. Can't get d2h new soon. Like TCW said, nikon is clearing out all the d2h. Unless you are aiming for a 5k d2hs.

Just my 2 cents.

Getting body from other countries, warranty of coz not valid in SG but will Nikon SG refuse to service the body if anything happens? Anyone has experience in this area? I have never bought a body from overseas before tho, only lenses as it has international warranty.

I don't think Nikon will refuse to service the camera ... afterall, it is a Nikon camera. Nikon SG will probably take it that the camera's warranty period has expired and charge accordingly for whatever service needs to be done ...

Roy, are you tempted to get a set ... after selling your D70? It is definately a good price for a new D2H ... Prob still comes out cheaper than ordering from the US (can siam the GST)

Nope, i've called Nikon before making that purchase telling them its a gift from US. They just said that I have to pay for the service though.
