Hi all, how is the Sigma 18-50mm F3.5-5.6 DC? How does it compare with the D70 kit lens?
I know the Canon mount is about $180, does it cost about the same in Nikon mount? Thanks. |

Thanks.
![]() The thing is I am not sure whether to get the kit lens or not, so I hope I can get the right lens the first time (if there is better alternative at that price range). Any one with the experience for the mentioned lens? ![]() |

I have tried out the Sigma 18~50mm f2.8.
I like it very much, would use it when I travel. All these taken with this lens, Sigma 18~50mm f2.8 |

jnet6,
I beg your forgiveness for defecting to the enemy camp. ![]() T16, I am still experimenting with the lens (and dSLR in general). Having coming from Sony DSC-F717, I don't think I am getting sharper picture. Might be due to my incompetency though, so I still need some experimentation with the new system. |

I it.Great lens for the price. Good enough that my 17-35L spends more time gathering dust than getting used now. can't recommend it more highly than that for a $170 lens. |
