Default D70- Need help to unlock the AF-Point

This is a newbie question and need help for my 1 day old D70. While experimenting with the various settings, I realized that I have accidentally locked the AF Point at the right hand side of the viewfinder. Tried to get help from the manual on how to unlock it but can’t seems to find the right page. Other things I tried are, power-off and on the camera, switch from spot focus to dynamic focus but none of them help.

Please help.

Did you switch the lock to "L". Check the switch that is just above the 4-way navigation, behind your camera.

Make sure that it's not switched to "L".

yep... thats right~ Adiemus answered the question. just make sure to 'lock' it back after you're done so it won't move around when u hit the 4-way button.

heheh...well it happens to the best of us when we first buy a new camera.

Also you need to know this bit.... When you are previewing a picture or have something shown on your camera's LCD screen, you also will not be able to change the focus setting. You need to lightly tap your shutter button to switch off the LCD if you have set the preview time longer then a few seconds.

Silly I know but so long as something is showing on your LCD, you can't change the darn AF point too.

to add on... if the metering times up, you also can't change anything... ie, AF point, aperture/shutter speed.
