Q about lowepro rover bags
looking at getting a backpack like the lowepro aw series, or the crumpler formal lounge or farmer's double. i.e. has a separate padded bottom compartment for holding camera equipment. insert can be removed to use back as a normal backpack.
1) i know there is a tripod carrying mechanism in the centre, but is there any way i can secure a tripod to the side of the bag instead? any straps already there, or easy way of adding them?
2) any other bags from other brands that do what i want?
thanks in advance!

But more so for smaller tripod. For my 055, you are better off carrying it separately with a tripod strap.
