I've taken a photo of my colleague's sandbag doggy in his car while we were on the way out for lunch few days back....doggy seems sharp when view in camera LCD, but look soft after uploading...dunno why...
Anyone can help to explain why? ![]() |

Hmm.... look like a baby cow to me!!!
Are you comparing at different resolution? Lower resolution tends to look sharper! And if I am not wrong, I think it's focused on the glass instead. ![]() |

Yup.. It's definately a cow...
And nope... it's not "soft". It's simply out of focus... I think the crop is a little too tight at the bottom. 2cts 2cts... ![]() |

Focus....u know already, no need to comment. While viewing on LCD, I zoom in to at least 8x (on FZ20) to check photo sharpness. Have come across lots of time when viewing on LCD 1x it look sharp and great only to be dissapointed when view on the PC.
Composition....For me, the positioning at left bottom corner may not work here, too much "blank" spaces. I think u are trying to use the rule of 1/3 here if I'm not wrong. You may want to try cropping and position it in dead center as the "cow" is symetric and see if it works out better. ![]() |
