Default Newbie in IR

Is IR photography all about using a certain kind of filter to acheive the effect?Please enlighten me.Thanks!

Well IR is still normal photography except that we use a IR filter to get the effect. The normal ones we use are R72 from Hoya, there are others as well and also different intensities. There are some post processing applied when we use digital to obtain some colour. You can also apply it on film camera with IR film. The effects may be different and mostly in monochrome.
