Hi all
Just to share some shots taken on the first 2 days (out of 3) of the tournament held from 24-26 Feb 2005 at Fuji Ice Palace. Quite a 'challenge' for me given my 'slow' lens and the little knowledge (read 'none') of the sports (& as such, had to work on the curves quite abit in Photoshop). Nevertheless, I came away a more 'learned' person. Feel free to critique. Cheers...Nizz #01 #02 #03 ![]() |

Nice pictures....
What kind of processing did you do? On my case, I have not done any processing other than small usm and resize as they ask the pictures asap. |

Hi Javaman
I had to adjust the 'curves' because of the low light as well as 'USM'. There were some that required cropping as well, but minimal. All were done in PS. Nizz |

It's clearly shown that you know what to do with D70 + 70-300mm f/4, great pics!

Actually only a few of those shots were with the 70-300mm...most were with the 28-105mm f/2.8. After our chat, I decided to switch back to the sigma! Cheers...Nizz |

Hey, I am a fans of Sigma too...
I have an 18-125mm f/3.5-5.6 as my favourite walk around lens but not so suitable for this event. Maybe because I have different expectation on the picture angles. After looking at your pictures, I have better idea on how to utilise that lens if get cought in such situation. |
