    as above.... just wanted to find out which software is good for general purpose organization and editing...

    Everyone has their own preferences. There is no absolute best.

    If you ask me if it is good, yes, it is. I am using it.

    Other software people love, Phase One Capture One , Photoshop, DXO Optics Pro, Apple Aperture... among many...

    IIRC, I paid $399 for LR3, now is it only half price for LR4, upgrade even cheaper, very worth it, and I can't do without LR!

    I use the Adobe Bridge to Adobe Photoshop workflow. Less fluid than Lightroom 4, but I got used to it.

    Actually boss, now full licensed version of LR4 cost $149 nowadays.

    wow... When I paid for my LR3, It was ~$150. And Black Friday Sales, LR4 going at 79 USD..

    Shipping? Buy for download and done. The Help system is online anyway and the box will only collect dust or fungus here.

    btw, just want to check.. for those Buy for Download (since I never tried these buy to download stuffs), if I format computer then the software have to buy again if I lost the installer?

    No. The license key is sent to you via email. So nothing is lost.

    Yes, quite a few. Try going to funan and looking around, you'll see and discover lots. Or just buy on the online store.

    Thanks! Maybe next time when I purchase again, I may take the digital download version...(Didn't know how it works, so I always buy with the box...)

    Bought LR4 together with CS6 online. There are things I like about LR but I'm too adapted to CS to ditch it. Don't want to ditch it either because there are things LR can't do. They co-exist in my comp.

    dont know if its the best or not, but i love it and cant live without it! very good piece of software. i never use full photoshop version coz i can do everything i need on lightroom 4
