Default What's the difference between Program mode and Auto?

Funny question, guess I'm using too much of Tv, Av.

when u talking about program, do u mean those funny icon (ie : a flower, a tree , a portrait) ??

well, flower means close up

tree means landscape
portrait means swallow DOF.

Program mode means that the camera selects both the exposure settings (shutter speed & aperture) for you. Useful if you ever need a quick point and shoot mode without fiddling with any settings.
