depends on how itchy you are ... anyway, think that 350D would be selling for at least $2.2k. You willing to stretch your budget a bit? If so then wait lar. Otherwise, you can easily pick up a 2nd hand 300D at $1k odd. Maybe less once 350D comes out.

u thinking of living with the kit lens for life? think 1.5-2k, get prosumer cam better, den can buy flash, teleconvertors & filters as well...
but if you already have lenses & other accessories, & going to spend 1.5-2k on just body alone, den wait for the 350D, it would be well within the range.

Wait for 350D to be out than (soon) and check the price for both 350D and 300D.
But as what Del_CtrlnoAlt had mentioned. Go for proconsumer camera if you want to stick to your budget. With 350/300D there is always a high possibility that you'll end up getting flash, lens......etc etc. |

Yes. I also say you should hold your itch until 350D comes out.

I also agree. Just wait for the 350D, the advantage is twofold, if you dun want to get the 350D by then, the price of the used 300D would be plummeted further...good time to get the 300D

Yes do wait.. I'm in the same boat more or less.
Waiting for the 350D to test out since its smaller not sure if comfortable. Then I will choose b/t D70, 350D or 20D <-- yah know 20D is the most ex but in general these three are the most reliable prosumer DSLRs out there on good lens systems. If 300D fall <1k though, will be very tempted to buy that instead and stock up on good lens ![]() |

I jump boat to D70 from 300D, and its a new world to conquer.
The D70 built quality, hold and feel, much better than 300D design. Hope the 350D has better built quality than 300D ![]() functions wise between D70 and 350D are about the same... again, that would depends on your lens / flash collections ![]()

For me the dilemna is that I've a Nikon Film body that I will not give up anytime soon, so moving to Canon will mean 2 lens systems :O not very wise... However Canon is so tempting, plus you can mount more exotic lenses like a CZ on it so heh for me the question is not which is better, both are great, but how I want to develop my camera collection in the most sane way! |
