Hi digitalbuff,

The reason most of us post here are because, all of us are using Panasonic Lumix cam, so we can give some pointers within each other since we are more or less sharing the same products/models.

And we do normally check in our own forum as well.

People like me dun really move the thread around. So, I do post my photo over here because more ppl will give comments.

Anyway, welcome! Hope you get ur FZ3 real soon and join us as family. Hehehe

Hi digitalbuff,

Welcome home! So you wanna return to be a Lumixer once more?
How have you been with your 20D?
Oh btw, I think FZ3 no longer in production! Panasonic stopped producing 3mp camera! It's FZ5 you looking for!

Do share your experience with your dslr.......

Hi Lifeworld

Thks for the warm welcome. Yes... I have been hunting for a FZ, reason being, I need a cam to carry with me all the time. The 20D was a hefty investment (which never stops with lens, more lens, flash etc). The size and cost also prevents me from bringing it all over (e.g. to malaysia). So, i thought I cld invest (further!) in a FZ ( i really had good experiences with my FZ1 and LC 1). You guys are really kicking ass with your pix. Really good quality, which my SLR sometimes, cannot match even.

Alas, I must admit I really miss your LC1 pics. Especially the 'studio and KL Chinatown' shots. They were beautiful shots!

Hi hi hi!!!!

Noticed your avatar is an LC1 eh!
I cannot seem to bring the best out of my FZ-20... I have an uncreative mind.
And cannot compose shots at all...

How about we trade cameras! I will include all my accessories (TCON/WCON/batts etc) and top up with cash for your DSLR system?

Intended or not, somehow the Lumixers here already formed a network, a family.

We share experiences here, we explore, and we post our photos here not to show only, but to share the results, since we are all using Lumix, somehow there are more things that we can discuss here if we were to post our photos here.

Lumixers are somewhat humble bunch of people, we are shy to post somewhere else, not that we do not have confidence though.

Are u serious bro rhair? Current investment in the 20D and accessories total 4000+. I have a long way more to go "unleash" the power of my SLR. It allows more permutations and types of photography i guess.

My take is, the FZ series is a really good (all rounder) for street and holidays etc. But fitting all the extensions (tcon, wcon) makes it a bit clumsy from an ergononmy point of view. This is the reason I just want to get a FZ3 or now since its discontinued, the FZ4 or 5.

DB
(Hope the gentleman who bought my LC1 has been gentle to it)

Actually, I do remember reminding Panasonic sub-forum posters (and other Equipment Discussion sub-forums) to post their images for discussion and critique in the proper section in the Photo Galleries.

The equipment discussion sub-forums are meant for discussions of equipment and not photos.

You can :-
a) Post the images in the Photo Galleries for discussion and critique on the image.
b) Link the thread back to a new thread in Panasonic forum for any discussion related to the equipment used.

This should be one of the tasks of a Moderator - to remove threads with images to the Photo Galleries - once a Moderator (or two) is elected.

Apology, Darren. I might have missed your 'reminder' post. Will take note and post accordingly. Btw, thanks for this great forum especially the sub one! .

Not a problem. In the interim period while the Mod search is still ongoing, maybe the Panasonic forummers can remind others when images are posted to post them in the correct Photo Gallery. Appreciate that Panasonic forummers can practice some self-moderation for the time being.

Hi Darren,

I think the regulars here will definitely help to uphold to ensure that the Panasonic thread is run properly.

By the way, since we have Josho obtained the majority votes, will he be considered as Moderator for Pana? or you still wanna wait?
