protect your photos?

hi,

just wondering if there is a way to protect your photos (when posted in galleries) from unauthorized use or download?

please advise.

Hmm...where were you when this topic was discussed and debated here on CS some time ago?

Try doing a search for "leech" and you should be able to dig out a number of threads on this topic.

As far as I know, if you absolutely want no chance of unauthorised usage of you image, then don't post it.

There are many ideas proposed, but none are 100% secure. As long as the picture can be displayed on a user's computer screen there will be a way to make a copy of it. Worst come to worst the person can take a photo of his screen!

Taking a physical screen capture? That chap muz be pretty desperate...

The best way, is not publishing ur photos online. Or sending it via CD-R to ur closest friends for viewing. In that case, if the photos ever go online, u can track who's da source of leakage pretty fast.

watermark...and proper model releases???? haha....in my case tt is...

else....dun bother la...... if any fellow try to sell ya shot as long as u still own the original with exif u can take action rite.....coz u can prove tt the shot is yours wat....then thank him for selling ya shot and get money + the fine from him lo heheh.....
