You should thank the 2 big parakeets for buzzing the WP.
The black bazaar that flew near him had no impact.

Your GPS lighter head is with me. you should use a bit of
paper glue to ensure it does not unwind the next time

I guess Wk will be posting soon, it was a long mad dash into the
dark trees to chase down that "leopard". Johnny fell into the
ditch while returning to the car.. the mimosas bit him a bit but
he is ok.

The owners sms to call that a huge Malay Fish owl flew around the
cliff while the kid was waiting for the stars to show around 0100.

So we should definitely plan a 2 day trip .

An overnight trip is a most definate necessity. Can spend the whole night either in the plantation looking for civets or leopard cats, or in the forest for bigger game, and of course to hunt for those owls

Didn't know Johnny fell. Well I guess he's ok and that's all that matters. It was great doing tactical warfare chasing the civet in the plantation in the night and hoping we don't step on any black spitting cobras... well a pix of a black spitter would have made my day too. Next time we need more flood lights

Didn't want to post my pixs of the crested serpent eagle nor of the civet cat as yet. Want WK to showcase his work... especially of that excellent shot of the passing WBSE. My shot of the civet is yet to be photoshopped due to the EV-3 underexposure....

BTW, it was not parakeets that chased the Banded WP away from it's home making, but a "lowly" common White Vented Myna

How's that for being more aggresive than a raptor?

Hi Peng Eik,

Didn't see you post for some time... wondering if you went MIA Thanks for the

In fact I was abit embarassed by the shot... not sharp and terrible background. Thank God for PS . But with WK hot on my heels firing away with his new bazooka... that was probably the only shot worth to show from our weekend shoot together
I think my set up still needs tweeking. The F4P just don't seem to be focusing correctly onto the D70 CCD. I see it very crystal sharp on the viewfinder, but the results just sucks. Well, I'll just have to experiment more and see how to sort that out.

Anyway, good luck for the coming weekend at Tj Tuan.
