Default Sungei Buloh Pics

Was there today with family. Manage to capture some insects. Appreciate any critique please. Thanks!

First time see an actual Robber fly. Jumping around all the time, was not easy to take.

So creepy....eee...making me feel itchy now. hehe
Good closeup shots & capture the creepy feelings of these insects well.

#5 is my fav. picture. I like the color, the clarity & the creepiness it shows from those hairy legs.

Thanks!

I am using the panasonic FZ10 with Nikon 6T for the Df shots, and the rest 6T and Sigma close up lens and all bounce flash. #5 had no flash.

Settings: ISO 100, F8 and varying speeds for the pics. Manual mode

Great catch of the Robberfly.

The focus point in #5 seems like falls on the wings.

Just wondering are there resize from full frame or 100% crop? There are very sharp and real close to the subjects?

sorry... newbie questions heh

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks ST,

They are all cropped to some extend. Whatever I crop to become the final size....

The subject distance varies are from 19cm to 29cm.

Hi there,

Do you mind sharing with us what kind of equipment you used to take all these nice shots?

Thanks.

I mentioned this in thread 5 above.

Wow... although I'm not really into the close-up / nature kind of photographer, I've got to say these shots were beautifully taken... how did you manage to take such a good shot?
