Talking The simply 'bochap' shrike from my neighbourhood

Pasieh...tiger shrike again. Shots were taken this morning before the heavy downpour and lighting was poor. I believe this is the same tiger shrike which I shot (photo) yesterday afternoon. Enjoys and please comments.

Here's one more to go...

Cheers

Thanks, glad that you like it. I'm staying somewhere opposite the big 'longkang' of sim lim sq. Other than ka leng (mynas), crows...so far I have discovered birdies like little herons, little egrets, some sunbirds (too high up on the trees) and now shrike

Cheers

Thanks LeeDan

Yup, I agreed with you. Most of the time we fail to take note of the surrounding trees and plants around our home and neighbourhood thinking that there only common birds like mynas, crows, sparrow...sometime mother nature do give us surprises just within our doorsteps.

Cheers

Since u asked for comments...

Shots like these are only for documentary purposes.
These types of shots only show what your lens can capture, not your skill. I believe with your skill & lens, u can capture better pictures than birds resting on branch/fence, which many other people can, and have captured before.

Thanks for the comment, greatly appreciated.

Yes I agreed with you that these are just documentary shots. Currently I am still at the learning stage of approaching and being able to get a good close-up shot almost full frame without causing stress or frighten away the subjects (birds) is quite rewarding for me at present. Still I hope that after more practise and hard works, one day can produce those stunning action shots like many seniors here.

Cheers
