Your Budget? Backpack? Club Med? Or sleep inside a car?

That all depend on your citizenship lor.....if you are Malaysian..then the rate is between Myr$120 to $150 nett. Sometimes they do offer similar discount to Singaporeans and Brunei as well. Holiday Villa is cheaper than Legend resort.
There are chalets available in the village (Myr$50 approx) as well.....But I had never stay there. Coz I love hot bath and comfy bed
Try to get there early in daytime, so you can ask around those cheaper village style chalets
If arriving at night, you might miss the stop by bus...it happened to me...had to walk few ks back to the resort at 2am.

    MacBoy,
I wouldn't have a clue about your travel plan lor
Everything depend on your budget and time allowed.
F&E of course is the best way. Sometimes cheaper too.......

i go to kuantan every year for chinese new year to get Ang Baos in Ringgit

frankly, there's nothing to do there. its pretty boring

there's a nice beach where you can stay at Hyatt kuantan. Don't know if turtles still lay eggs there or not

Maybe you should drive further down to terengganu. the beaches are supposed to be lovely
