Hi, does any of you use the firmware "Wasia Hack" on your 300D? If so, any problems so far? Also, what are the major changes? Thanks for answering my questions!....

You canon guys are indeed helpful. So far all positive replies on usage of the firmware...Hmm... wonder if anyone has unfortunate incidents to report??? Maybe can share it here... Also, heard that the camera may not be underwarranty if problems occurred because of the upgrade of the unauthorised firmware, any comments about this? |

yes, it won't be underwarrnanty it u bring it to canon with the RUssian 'Os' installed. So what do you do? Install the original one back before sending to canon for any repairs!

Hey there are people who install linux on the camera
, There is a boot strap and etc. The firmware is written in DOS format, and stored in drive D: of the rom.No worries in crashing with the hack firmware, so far never heard of. It is a cheaper way to own a 10D without spending too much. Of course the physical diff will be the material and the buffer build in. The rest of the diff is the photographer! |
