. Due to the nature of my setup, many pics were ruined by vibration , mirror slap etc... And sadly, one of the more interesting BSK pics I took (landing - my 1st time !) turned out to be only good enough for my new avatar ![]() |

Good catch. You've already gotten a very good picture there.
Imagine what you can get with the propor equipment. Cheers ! Keep shooting. |

Hi,
Thanks for your kind comments joeyao, skfoo and Harlequin. Full credit goes to my shooting buddy ccplim who alerted me of their presence when they flew in onto the perch. |

Nice one Sam
On the other hand, the picture appears to be abit on the bluish size. Something wrong with the WB setting? |

Hm, I think it's due to the VR (violet reducing - reduces chromatic aberration) filter I'm experimenting with on my setup. It gives a generally yellowish appearance to all my pictures, so after some experimentation, I found that if I set the WB to fluorescent while the filter is on, it will help to even things up a little bit in the field (but the pictures will look a little bit bluish). And when I finally work on them on the PC, I would activate the auto-levelling on PS to complete the job. I think I forgot to do the auto-levelling for this one Here is the same picture after auto-levelling : ![]() Slightly better ? Maybe during the next shoot I will skip the WB fluorescent part for some of the shots and see what happens when I do auto-levelling on PS.Last edited by harlequin2902; 26th February 2005 at 12:00 AM. |
