Default 1D MkII housing

Hi,
does anybody in here have any information or knowledge on housings for the canon 1D MkII? who makes them, where can we see or try them, and most importantly, how much?

Just in a kind of curious mode right now.

Dont tell me u have already bought one

As far as I know, no housing for the Mk II yet... be it 1D or 1Ds. However, a few pro has modified their 1Ds housing to fix the 1Ds MkII.

I'm pretty sure that Subal is in the process of making a EOS 1D MkII housing.

Correct me if I am not wrong.

As far as I understand, the body of 1Ds, 1DsMII and 1DMII are the same, so they can fit in the same housing.

Subal and Seacam have housing for them

fongwee, you are slightly mistaken, i believe. there is one extra button added to 1D Mk II, i would expect the same for the 1Ds Mk II as well, compared to 1D/1Ds.

According to the Subal website, the 1Ds & 1D Mk II share the same housing. They don't have a housing for the 1Ds Mk II yet.

So, to answer your original questions.

Yes, they should be available in Singapore. Chris Ho brings them in and his showroom is somewhere in Thompson now.

Most importantly, I think the housing alone (no ports) would easily set you back S$4500 at least.

Opps. Sorry. Got it a bit mixed up. The 1DMkII is the same as 1DsMkII so would fit in a Seacam housing. Ref is http://www.seacam.com/en/produkte/d_...os1d_mark2.php

Right?
