My first look at them, they are over-PSed.
Noticed you shot them at 1/500 ISO 200 f8. Why not 1/125, ISO 100, f11? |

nice shot esp 1st one but they looked over-sharpen for me. Try to compose more space for the object ..

sumball: would you care to elaborate more abt what you mean with over-PS?
About the 1/500 sec, I think the reason has been explained by megaweb. I've got monopod, but I don't feel convenient to move around with it. megaweb: I think I have to watch out for over-sharpening. my post-processing experience not there yet. for space wise, what would you recommend? do you mean that it'll be better if the subject not too near to the edges of the image? |

yea
I guess I used wrong setting for my final sharpening after resizing. (the setting was for my full res image, and I just pressed ctrl-F without changing the setting. stupid me) later when I got back home I'll redo Thanks for the comment, sumball and megaweb I'm still a newbie |

Hi squalle, just a personal observation, hope you do not mind me commenting, but just wondering why did you place the copyright symbol watermarking (the big c within a circle) right smack on the butterfly's wings? It detracts from the beauty of these colourful insects, and somewhat spoils my visual enjoyment of them. Personally I would recommend making a smaller watermark, and perhaps try putting somewhere else on the pic except on the butterfly.
Just my 2 cts of comments, good attempts there and do keep shooting... |

Well, I've put that to experiment watermarking, which style that's nice to use. Maybe the next ones, I'll just omit the C symbol. |
