Yes there is. It's called common sense and spending within your means. If you can only afford to spend $100 but something costs $150 will you still spend or choose not to? Nobody put a gun to your head and ask you to spend what.Originally Posted by surrephoto

As someone said, don't break other people's rice bowl. TS if you feel it is too expensive you have 2 options. Don't join or organise one that is more affordable according to your standards.

I'm amazed how people can draw a conclusion that TS want to break other ppl rice bowl by just asking why photoshoots cost are increasing.
Its very common to complain about a product or service, for example in the FnB industry, no one is accusing anyone of breaking other ppls rice bowl (no pun intended :P) if they complain or review the taste or service for the price.
And like photography, food taste is a subjective matter.
The people who complain about breaking rice bowls are mostly shoot organizers themselves... ;-)Originally Posted by hanzohattori

I think it is because those shoot organisers may have observed that the participants have grown richer, so many having upgraded their gear and buying the latest gadget, thus its time to also rise prices to better align to the spending power, richness and talent of the esteemed participants.
We look forward to more stunning photos at the Portraits & Poses forum!
