Wink "Not so common" Common KF

Ha ha, it seem not the focus of 2005, but still a nice bird... here's presenting the not so common Common Kingfisher!!

Wah You are able to capture 2 species of uncommon kingfishers within a period of 2 months! I am really envious man

Very good catch!!! But on a side note, wonder why they call it the 'Common' Kingkisher when it is so uncommon?

Ha ha, juz that it is not common here in SG... we do get quite a lot of these many years ago... btw, they are migratory.

Jason, excellent catch there with good detail. I like shot #2, with his "punk hairdo" pose. You must be pretty close to get such shots, this guy is really tiny, and tough to spot and approach. Good job!

Newguy69 & Garion...thanks.

Btw, just to set the record straight, pic is highly cropped... not full frame, thus I'm am not close to the bird... just some great noise reduction tool I used... and I am behind a hide for many hours before this fellow comes close enough for a decent pic.
