    Just tried Canon G1X yesterday, but i cant take macro shots, cant focus within 0.4m
    Any macro focusing range for G1X?

    DPReview states the closest focusing distance to be 0.2m.
    Possibly it's using the widest focal length, hence the (W) description.

    I saw a Samsung EX1 going for about 450 at Best about a month ago. Not sure if it's still available.

    Someone else mentioned a Panasonic LX5 going for around 300 at Harvey Norman.

    TS is looking at EX2 and LX7 and you're recommending their predecessors?

    Why not? No significant change in IQ. New features not worth the added cost.
