Your pic are simply beautiful. Dont think you need the D70 anymore....Your G5 is sufficient...

for the shrimp...the shallow DOF works perfectly for me. Very , very nice! your octopus could be disguised as a mimic and most people will not be able to tell.

Looks like i must really try to shoot Hantu one of these days. Too bad the organiser said that this is the last since her beloved boat is back in operation.....meaning free trips galore

Well done Paul. I haven't seen these 2 creatures at Hantu before so I'll be waiting for my next trip there to 'hunt' them down.

if we check the moon chart we can more or less predict the visibilty,

i think the big ass shrimp should not be a problem to locate, the octopus will be a huge problem hahaaha

season starts dunno the vis will be better or not hor

Whyzzz next time bring your titi :P

Nice shots Paul. Would have liked a bit more DOF on the shrimp but hey, I'm not the one taking the pix.

I don't mind doing another Hantu trip also, its getting better all the time, Partly because the dredging on the nearby islands have stopped I think.

solid..!! nvr imagine able to spot an octopus in day time.. let alone in slit covered hantu... Salute u man!

liked the way u took yr gorgonian shrimp.. same subject.. but nvr occured to me to take it yr way... was thinking of capturing it with the cowie most of the time...

hmm.. next time i must try frontal shot.. top down.. and maybe down up shot? hehe..

oooh... u got the whip goby.. hmm hard to take that rite? thinking the goby wont be like the shrimp.. so nice "posing" for u.. rite?

hey, u got 2 diff type of orange spotted nudi!! so cute!! hoho.. where u find them ar? oh.. another orange one.. hoho.. auspicious wor!! haha..

is yr seahorse same as mine? so its called Tigertail seahorse.. yrs seahorse ws so much sharper than mine...

I still prefer working with the D70, so much easier to handle underwater.

The new shutter lever for the 10bar helps alot man....the new springs too.

you can also see that the sharpness isn't there, unlike a 60mm prime lens.... heheheh...

i also found it harder to focus with the stupid LCD screen as compared to SLR.

and the shutter lag really puts me off.... miss alot of shots because of that.
