thanks for ur comment photodog... i wanted to include the other guys in the pic to show more of the context of the street and to provide some contrast with the 2 guys in the middle.

Taken in low-light condition (evening or night), I presume? The lack of focus is not really that big an issue... but in this case, the 4 figures in the foreground doesn't have the intended impact... I'd got more interested in the person sitting on the lay-back chair hidden before the guy on the right almost instantaneously, rather than trying to link the 4 subjects up...

Anyway, why title your shots back to the "@..." series??

u mean the bald guy's butt didnt grab your attention first? what do you see in the guy sitting in the lay-back chair?

back to the "@......" series cos i'm brain dead at the moment, too lazy to think of titles.

Nope... it's definitely the stray elements in the background that'd grabbed my attention first!

suddenly i start to link the three men facing the camera with the 3 deities 'fu lu shou' ... ok ok, it's a crappy link ... yah, the butt attracted lots of attention, having the other 2 men included at the sides sort of balanced the composition for me and gave the picture some interesting secondary elements ... didn't bother with the man at the back though
