the 3rd shot has a yellow cast.

the last shot the bride has a shadow of a fern leave on her face, you may need to clone it away..

I thought #3 was a well-taken portrait, just have to white-balance it a bit.

I would try to "remove" the shadows of the leaves on the bride's face on #4

thanks for the comments guys... yeah, i'll remove the fern shadow and the fern :P hmm... i was struggling i said... with the WB... the sun was low and the yellow light was SO strong and overpowering! :S made EVERYTHING 'golden', plus it didnt help that the sun rained down on the couple golden drops of sunshine throughout the ceremony. All the trees around also darkened the place quite a bit though it doesnt really show in the pictures... had to pump iso up to 500/640 do get decent shutter speeds for the coverage.

Default Shadows on Face

Check the B/W couple photo. Shadows on "her" face is distracting ... and shadow on "his" forehead makes it look like there is a lot of dirt (soot) on his head.

Otherwise the other photos are ok ...

Keep it Up ... Have you tried shooting a traditional Thai wedding?

hi witness, no probs. i pretty much expected the comments i've received so far - nothing i havent expected yet. the photos are random and arent supposed to be very chronological or telling a story. at least i know that i've got a lot to improve on and that's what counts. keep up with the frankness... it helps, though more input could be added to give me insightful ideas on angles or other aspects of photography. thx

cant really say i can give u much help here....learning myself too ya...

the candid approach is good.....but perhaps u could shoot wider...

like for eg.....the shot with the signing.... its a little tight for the crop perhaps should show more of the paper itself....

then there's this foregrd backgrd thing....a little trick i learned is that if its outdoors there will be like flowers ard.....position them to make some sort of a foregrd....then it will look like some natural sort of framing...

cheers...

thats why i say, always shoot in RAW

WB problem? No problem! Everything adjust in Photoshop
Exposure also

just make sure don't overexpose

Underexposure still can save, overexposure hard to save
