    Default A classic timepiece

Any guesses for the movement and approximate vintage?

Its a lovely watch. Pretty nicely shot as well, except for that speckle of highlight that blocks out details on the face.

    Default My guess....

    1950-1970s

Movement should be a Valjoux manual wound movement.!!!

Thanks. I used a DIY lightbox and Sony DSC-S75 on a tripod to capture that. That was a long time ago

Yes, a lovely watch... wish I could treasure it as much when I got it. Sigh... who says its only women who are fickle minded ...

Zenith El Primero movement ? The fact that the seconds index are separated by 5 sub-indexes means this chronograph is able to measure up to a tenth of a second, beating at 10 beats per second or 36000 beats per hour. To my understanding there's only 1 movement that beats that fast, which is the 'El Primero'

As for its vintage .... hmmm not sure, but if it's really powered by the El Primero then the watch could not be earlier than 1969, which was the year El Primero made its debut.

    Nice watch!

Except for the highlight and lack of shadow detail it would be perfect.
