Thread: Tripod recommendation and tips for newbies

Default Tripod recommendation and tips for newbies

First, thank you to all the experts in Clubsnap. I did a lot of research before I bought the Sirui N1024.
Before that, I was using the humble Nikon tripod for almost two years

The more I research for new tripods, the more confusion I got. And this chart can be quite confusing for newbies.

..even the head selection can be confusing !

    Identify our own requirement.
    - Light weight and portable, means carbon fibre, ie $$.
    - Go and test friends' tripod. identify the different brands/models/benefits, before visiting the shops.
    - Bring your camera along when you are shortlisting the tripod.

I have blog about my experience here, hope it will be helpful for some newbies.
