Personally, I still think the D600 is a nice and nifty camera. But for someone like me who often shoot with natural light and also, frequently using outer points, the cramped D600 AF points bothers me quite a bit. At first I thought it wouldn't be too bad, at first focus and re-compose, but after trying it for a shoot, I had to give up on it.

It may be my lack of skill, but for now I think the D800E's wider spread and better AF points may be better for me. Previously with my 5D3 and 1DX, I didn't have such issues with outer focus points but the D600 gave me focus hunts and focus misses.. and I have to focus and re-compose. Under evening light, I was on wide open aperture and focus and recomposing was walking on thin ice.

The AF point is something we have to live with. But for the focus issue, I think your camera (D600) could be a bad copy. I used the outer points after golden hours and focus is still snap on.

But for mine to be compare from D800 the AF still faster capture than my D800 and sometime in the low light still lack.

Hope so. Didn't have the money like those gadget reviewers to buy multiple copies to test

    Hi,

    Check this thread - http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/nikon...t-updated.html

Bro Kandinsky created a form for us to input price information and the data is consolidated in a spreadsheet.

Enter the price using this form: http://bit.ly/WaDz9n

Data will show up in spreadsheet : http://bit.ly/UUPN2u

Anyone heard of this new camera shop in Funan called 25 Cam? Was walking around on Thursday and saw it on the 3rd floor i think? Or 4th, can't quite remember. Anyway they had one copy of D600 quoted me $2675. Ended up getting at John 3:16 for $2700 (their last piece! Told me next shipment in few weeks time) together with a bunch of other stuff though.
