IMO, it is kinda waste to spend extra $$ to get good video processor to play game with a laptop, unless you really need to play games when you are outside.

Firstly, laptop are slow...too slow for playing games smoothly.

Secondly, even if it is Radeon 9700 chipset, very soon you will find out that you can't play many new games with it. Unless you only want to play older games that are not so 3D intensive.

Unlike PC, where you can change the graphic card easily to play newer games, you can't with a laptop. R9700 was the king a year ago, but now it is already too old for newer games. Not forgetting that mobile R9700 is rather crippled compare to desktop version.

Now the top of the end graphic process for laptop is the X800 series, but trust me, in 6 mths time you will find that X800 is not powerful enough for the latest games.

IMO, get an Xbox or PS2 to play game is more worthwhile, then spend the rest of the $$ for more RAM and hard disk for photo-editing

the screen is the same for both the ibook and the pwrbk. only the res is different and that makes quite a difference when you want to do large prints

guess most of it would be...

    ATI Radeon display processor...
    1Gig Ram
    Centrino/P4-M
    Bluetooth / WiFi
    CD/DVD burner??

oh ya... best is cost below 3k... hopefully below 2.5k... (must be dreaming...)

    TOSHIBA

    But wait. 3k!!????? you're right.
    You're dreaming.

IT shows usually has some kind of "Instalment plan" thing offered by a Credit company (last time i think it was Hitachi I think)
Even the DELL kiosk at Suntec also got offer credit plans.

It charges a 6% interest, (lower than most credit cards or credit lines) and has no income req needed.

Then again, its best to get it w/o any interest.

Joke aside, seriously I have no answer as I am not familiar with ibook.
Is there any other setting not done yet?

I will collect some brochures on the first day of IT show and go home to understudy first and decide later.
