Hi all IRers question here. My camera has the B/W mode(fujifilm 602z), and i'm quite happy when i use the auto B/W mode with an IR filter.
or should i use manual settings first, leave it red and come back for post processing? heh.. comments on this attempt as well.. this was done on the b/w function 1/4 shutter and 2.8 aperture. PSed it by increasing contrast and sharpening.

I'd shot IR with S602Z before and I preferred to do a custom white balance and shoot in colour mode. At least you could still convert to B/W during postprocessing But I've not shot in b/w mode before... maybe you could do a comparison? That's a nicely composed scene It would be even better if the sky is of a darker shade, the clouds would be more defined ![]() Check out infrared iv to ix, IR with S602Z http://ark19.clubsnap.org/gallery/Infrared |

Hi GreenEggs_n_Ham,
As mentioned, setting the white ballance is what you need. A usefull thing with the Fuji s602Z is that it has 2 seperate CWB selections. This way, you could set one to say the green of trees or grass, and the other to sky blue. Then if you feel experimental, you could take the same shot with either of the 2. After PSing I would guess there would be different results to choose from. An interesting thing to try Have fun. Cheers.
