I think some of the branded chicken rice like boon tong kee & chatterbox, you basically pay more for the ambience and lifestyle. Similar to starbuck and coffeebean. Why would anyone pay $5 for a cup of coffee?

Some Years back there used to be a "THE BIG BIRD" chicken rice stall at the PEACE CENTER.

Quite ex, ard $5 for a plate of chicken rice
(but got lots of The New Paper reviews, and Chinese newspaper review pasted all over the place)

Tried it ...okie lor but the Draw was the Chilli.
It was Spicy, I think its the hottest chicken rice chilli i have tried.
(Maybe its to make u buy their drinks..lol)

    Very hot but shiok.

    But now no more.
Dunno if they moved or closed down.

To me and my friends who frequent there, still taste just as good. Yah heard about the change in owner, but none of them can confirm.

I like it oily! Give me the chicken with the red bone marrow and the skin with the 'gel' underneath and I'll be smiling ear to ear!

Oh yah, one more... there is one place in Holland V. I can't remember the name (help me out if you know), but the chicken horfun is damn good! Have been eating there since I was a kid. Of course, their chickend rice is also acceptable.

Which stall? Is it within the same shop but on the left side? What kind of dumplings? Shanghai dumpling kind of the 'sueykao or wanton' type?
