Yes, Taiwan is quite fun. It's about the size and shape of Malaysia and yet I find it has more to offer visitors.

The downside is that the hotels are rather expensive, and the food is not as great as they claim. But then again, I am probably spoilt by cheap Malaysian accomodation and sumptious Singapore food.

Next time, you can try going up Alisan. Lots of photgraphic opportunities.

Their version of the Oyster Omelette is not to my taste. But the duck tongues are fantastic. I only managed to find one restaurant in Singapore that serves the same thing, but they stopped bringing in the tongues during the bird flu. That reminds me, must go after Chinese New Year to see if they have resume serving the item

I find Taipei is the still the must-visit city in Taiwan. It has many surprises.

Tainan bears an uncanny resemblance to Malacca. Mainly because the two cities were both colonised by the Dutch who likes to build red brick buildings. The 度小月担担面 here is nice but the portion small. Like Malacca, the place gets boring for me after a day's stay.

KaoShiung wasn't very impressive because there are many construction going on.

Missed Taichung on my last trip.

Seems like a really nice place for a short vacation. Is it a tour package? How much did you spend for the trip?
