Default Sri Lanka part 2 - The Parliament Building

The Sri Lanka Parliament Building was designed and project managed by a team of architects under the direction of renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa in the late 70s. A series of traditional Sri Lankan pavilions constructed with modern materials 'float' above a man-made lake.

This relatively new Parliament Building was the result of the Sri Lankan government's decision to shift the city centre of Colombo from the severely congested old fort to a drained swamp area around 'greater Colombo' ... the city 's inertia however proved to be too big and the plan never really get realised, the building is currently surrounded by disorganised middle and upper class settlements.

Due to security reasons, getting into the parliament building is difficult and the study group had to settle with a view from a far away location.

there was a heavy morning mist above the lake at the time of this shot, so these have been PSed to bring out the building details.

The 2 shot appear underexposed and the black border worsen the overall feel.
You can add a white STROKE in PS to differentiate.

Check your histogram, abit of under....
Apply Levels
Apply S-curve

Cheers!

Hope it helps~
