Hi guys
I'm digging up this thread again as my 7 months old D70 is reaching 10,000 shutter count. I read some where that it's good to bring in the DSLR for servicing if shutter count is about 10,000. Is that true?
Also, can any old birds enlighten me on what the servicing is on?
Thanks

Reasons for servicing

1. The camera is so dirty(on viewfinder/mirror/CCD etc) that it is bothering you.

2. Something is not working properly.

3. Your warranty is expiring soon.

4. You have a important shoot coming up and you want to make sure your camera is working properly.

Just to check with u guys, does it really takes 7-10 working days to remove 1 speck of dust in the viewfinder?

Why not send it in when you don't need it like when you will be busy with project, work, girlfriend or reservist?
