DS LCD screen?

hi guy
new user to pentax. recent purchase DS from Hong Kong. so not use to Pentax system. use to have a fuji S7000. but during photo taking. no image appearo on the LCD, so everytime have to compose the shoot through the viewfinder. it is my set or this is the standard for DS.

All DSLRs (cept 1 i think, can't remember which) u can't use the LCD to frame the shot. You can only use the viewfinder since there is a mirror in front of the sensor that directs the light from the lens to your viewfinder. This mirror blocks the light from reaching your sensor until you actually take the shot (that's why your LCD can't display any image until after the shot is actually taken). Hope this helps.
