i like #2 alot. i would like it even more if the spooks of the wheels are blurred... gives a greater sense of motion

With the closing speeds the riders are coming at it is hard to use a slower shutter speed to obtain blurred spokes while keeping the riders sharp. I will however cheerfully admit that I shot this one wide open and did not experiment with marginally slower shutter speeds, as shots like the one you highlight are quite a hit-miss affair of motion and AF lock.

I don't have a 20D.......what made you think I had a 20D?
