Question on White Balance

There is this white balance control in my A40 and I'm wondering whether is it that in Tungsten mode, it will give out a more yellowish effect? And in daylight mode a more white or should I say natural light effect? Pardon for my ignorance...

Tungsten will give u blue. Use it only indoors under tungsten lighting obviously.
Outdoors use sunny,cloudy.

I keep thinking that tungsten will give me yellow... this will ans my doubt thanks...
