For those who drives often on Malaysia's highway, this is supposedly the new speed camera that is being deployed.

    Be warned!

Many thank to unclefai for sharing. At least the msian government is proactive with reasonable laws set. The buffoons hired by Spore government in LTA & TP pays lip service by declaring they are doing all they can to alleviate the traffic jams but on the other hand they are installing speed cameras on congested roads with no schools with speed limited to 60km/h (ie yishun ave 2), and programming traffic lights to automatically turn red to deliberately stop smooth flowing traffic even though there are no cars on other side of junctions nor pedestrians (all over the island) & those buffoons in LTA has the cheek to declare these are 'state of the art' intelligent traffic light signals. I would say these traffic lights that turn red for nothing serve nothing else other than to piss motorists off, contribute to global warming by unnecessary braking, wastage of tyres, brakes, damaging of tar road due to e brakes, causing accidents due to the stupid traffic light signals ( ie turning green immediately after turning red, where it is supposed to be the adjacent road which should be green). Spore needs a change and the change must start with replacing the buffoons from LTA & TP.

That's alot of speed cams. According to a M'sia friend he don't think that these are for real, or at least not so many. In M'sia such big project sure take a long time to even start off and the whole M'sia will know about it right from the start especially when it cost so much due to so many "unforeseen" cost

I doubt accidents are caused by the speed limit being low. Plus, you are supposed to ease off the accelerator when you see a signal approach. Surprising as it may seem to you, I'm sure Malaysia has more accidents per car than singapore. You can check the statistics.
