    4. Burning an audio CD
    5. Surf Net

    8. ICQ
    9. Dreamweaver
    10. Photoshop 7
    11. Flash MX

The desktop PC showed me the BSOD.
The PB was solely running on battery with Wifi & was still stable.

I could not believe it myself, running 11 applications.
It was of coz slower, but did not hang, CD still came out well & not a coaster.

    PC specs were:
    P4 2.4GHz, 512ram

    Apple PB 15"
    G4 1.25GHz, 512ram
I begged to differ. I 've used Mac 10 years ago and since switch to a more cost effective platform, PC, last two years a IBM laptop. I have never gotten a virus so far. Virus so far came by several methods, just carefully avoid them than condone certain OS that is more than the others.

Just like we used to say, its not the camera, its the guy/girl behind the camera that breathe life in to the photos.

    U choose.
I hate to let it degerate to Mac VS PC war again but I've used a Mac since the early 90s and till now a G4 on my line of work(editing using Final Cut Pro). Mac IS more stable but using it the right way is more than stability issue here, I can crash it as easy as you want it on purpose. PC is just as good if you use it well.

Sad to say, its not just about Wintel against MacPowerPC. Its Wintel, WinAMD, WinAMD64, WinCyrix(yes its still alive) VS MacPowerPC. We have more choices. I am not a champion of Wintel or Bill Gates by the way, but I believe its the user behind the computer rather than the platform. Let's not go into the endless OS war on which is better....

I'm using Acer Travelmate 371 TCi. Very small and light (important for travelling), bright and sharp 12" screen, amazing battery power. Comes with everything built in - WiFi, LAN. Detachable drive. Less than $2K for 60GB, 512MB. I would recommend it. The current version is 372TCi methinks.
