Default Is it true that the 58mm/52mm lens adapter will block the flash/sensor of G2?

remember reading/hearing somewhere that the 58/52mm lens or lens adapter tends to block or obstruct the flash and sensor abit, is this true? if yes, how significant is it?
there is this brand of lens adapter called lensmate which is only 49mm.
was wondering if they r alot of accessories with this diameter as compared to 58/52mm?
thanks.

lenses usually are small at the back and BIG (Especially for the good ones) in front. so they will block the internal flash.....

not too sure abt "sensor" part. I thought Canon implement E-TTL for the flash?

is this blocking of the internal flash a big issue or negligible?
which diameter do u recommend?
my main intention now to get this lens adapter is to provide a grip for my left hand (similar to holding a SLR).
of course will get wide/tele and filters in the future.

yes, the blocking of the built-in flash on my 52mm adapter is indeed terrible. thus, i got an external flash.

don't have my cam with me now, if not, i would show you the difference.
