    This myth has been busted already. Today's lubricants are free of water, nothing there to dry up. The only issue I encountered with rubber was when I did not put it into the dry cabinet.

    The lubes and rubber drying up makes more sense. LOL... but seems like many are saying some types of fungi grow in lower humidity. =P
