He is not engaged by the organiser as I one of the members of the organiser.

The feedback came from the official photogrpher.

Anywhere the even is over. I just want to ensure thing will not happen again.

    Any pointer or advice?

then u should impose strict access to non official photographers where they can position themselves to shoot. like a yellow box or something.

    Just one last question...

In a situation like this, what will you do if you are the official photographer?

if you are the official photographer,
tell him to stay behind you, else you will ask organizer to stop him from shooting.

    if you are the organizer;
find out who sent him first,
ask him to stay together with the rest of the photographers or he will be escort out the premisses.
tell him will you will send a letter of complaint to his company or the person who hire him.

If you are one of the organizer, then it is your fault for allowing him to be on stage.

Organizers should only allow main official photographer on stage to do his/her job.

If you cannot keep him/her off stage, call the police.

No point complaining in forum when it is clearly the organizer's fault to allow anyone to act as photographer.

best to find out who is he first,

maybe he is a personal photographer of the GOH,

or some hardcore fans of the GOH,

    or maybe some overzealous parents

or just some regulars of IMH

Clubsnap is a place and it provides a platform where photo enthusiast seek help and share. It is certtainly not a place to complaint. Everyone of us learn from each other.
We benefit from the sharing. Don't you agree?

When organizing events, it is important to set some ground rules and have someone there to enforce the rules.

I believe your event must be very messy since there is no rules or restriction.

Take this as a lesson for future event.

Print out a big sign board

"Only the official appointed photographer are allow on stage"
"Those who do not comply with rule above will be escorted out by security."

Usually at such events the org'er will not allow just anyone to just plonk themself infront of everyone and block the view, even if the guy (photographer or not) is with the GOH, this is the general rule of an event, to let everyone join in/view the event and not be obstructed by just anyone. Take this as a lesson learned.

What to do to prevent such incident from happening again?
As an org'er: stop such incident before it even start. You'll have to be firm but polite to advise him that that is not the right place to place himself as he's disrupting the whole event and he's/she's being inconsiderate.
As the assigned photographer: Inform the org're/do the same as above/ change your angle
As just another photographer: do the above or just have to bear with it.

I was the official photographer at an event and complain to the org'er about a photographer on a ladder who's blocking the view. The org'er remover him from the hall
I get paid more shooting part time ...... damn, I should find more time to shoot part time

I wanted to upload his photo here, but I don't know how to do it. Any tip?

    Thanks
I think this is more of an security issue, what if that guy went too close to the GOH and what if he is a terrorist and what if other people starts to follow him and go up on the stage. It is gonna be messy. I also think that it is the organizer responsibility to control such situation.

actually, to catch the culprit, all you need to do is to camp at the Reportage Gallery and wait for someone to post a stage shot just like the one you saw the guy taking

    You have a point there.

If the person attack the VIP. Then the organizers cannot excuse themselves from any responsibilities.

When there is large crowd, some form of crowd control is required.

You cannot wait for something bad to happen and post picture in forum or stomp.

You are part of the organising team, you don't know who the guy is on stage, you allowed him to remain on stage despite that fact, and nowyou come to us to complain about him being stage. You allowed it to happen. You, as the organiser, have the authority to remove from the stage if you don't know who he is. You wear the tag for a reason, it's not there just for show.

if you are on the organizing committee and he is not the official photographer then you should tell a security guard or helper or yourself politely tell him to get off the stage or just get out of the way of everyone else

Official photographer must be made to wear those big luminous safety vest with "OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER" in as big font as possible, with ID tag, upon which his face and his name prominently displayed.

Non official photographers must attend a briefing before event start, to tell them accepted behavior, and warnings of consequences of non compliance.

When everyone knows their roles coordination becomes remarkably less complicated.
