Panasonic FZ-20 Newbie Question(Goin to buy)

Hi guys, as above i intending to get one fz-20....

1.)i am currently using the nikon coolpix 3100 dunno is it worth upgrading???
2.)How is the battery life of this camera?? izzit Li-ion batteries??
3.)Dan wad accessories i haf to buy cause i saw wad uv filters???...blur blur la...newbie here...

Many things to read b4 u buy - see below or search the pana discussion:

1. depends on your needs.
2. battery life of original battery is great 100-200 shots b4 charing (depending on usage, evf or LCD and zooming used all the time etc). Yes Li-ion
3. Min 72mm filter to protect from dust + len cap.
4. others can see from the Pana discussion threads

Some weakness about the cam - cannot see well when shooting in the dim indoor environment and some people complain noise at high ISO >200 else rest are ok.
Strength - 12x optical zoom (LEICA lens F2.8 for range of 36-432mm range) ,
Mega OIS (optical Image stabilisation), 5 Megapixel, TIFF mode,
