heres my 1st feeble attempt with my new toy.. the BEST among the worst..

::||STRIKE a POSE||::

-- hell... so much floating particle in water.. really hard to take head front shot of this climber.. was vertically upside down taking this bugger on the pillar.. did a crop out of the original.. does it works for u..? or u ppl prefer showing of more skirt?

::||Dot of a Star||::

-- sigh.. too bad the center part of this pic is not in focus.. need more prac..
does this kind of composition ok for u?

::||Huh?||::

-- too bad cant take a front profile of this blennie.. only manage to capture one side of the eyes... does the side lighting works? any suggestion to improve this shots?

2. i like it! too bad whole thing not in focus, the fl20 not too bad hor!?!

3. nice leh! too bad not colorful enough maybe bring out the visible eye more?

first pic: i cannot make out what it is. It's no good to let your audience guess your subject.

2nd : better. as mentioned, center slight OFF. But ok.

3rd: closer crop perhaps....

Still like your Blennie shot. So cute. Just feel the shadow a bit harsh. Maybe can fix another strobe to fill in on the other side?

problem is, black and white doesn't stand out from a dark backgrd.

OT liao ah OT liao ah.. ...

kthan, can you make out what the first pic is now? siaoon, maybe you should hotlink another photo of it not so cropped so he can see

given the continued limitation of one side lighting, maybe it would have been better if from the left instead of the right, due to the piping blockage?

I agree with kthan, couldn't make out what the first picture is.

LIke your second and third shot, although second shot like what the rest said, a bit out of focus. (yah like i pro like that can comment!! )

As for the holding hands bit, maybe Dylan got something to add. Where's he?!?!

My dear, the pic is not obvious. black on black is still black.

Yup. The 1st subject has no colour contrast. It would be better not to crop so much and allow the worm to be more visibly seen. When colour is absent, concentrate on the form & texture of the subject.

i see. i guess that's why you volunteered to buddy up with siaoon so that he can have slave strobe to cover shadow!
