any webbies that have reviews on film scanners???? i know one is www.photographyreview.com but isnt tat comprehensive

I think the better ones are those from Minolta and Nikon (for prosumer). Alternatively those flatbeds from Epson and Canon with Neg/Slide adapter do fine, but lesser quality but good overall. There is also a Yahoo Group for the Minolta 5400 if I did not remember wrongly.

thanks for the input, after considering the price of scanner with ICE, i might as well stay with my current scanner first. maybe wait a couple of yrs later bah.

hi Westray, i went your gallery, you have some good photo to show. i used a minolta dual scanner dual 3, but i always find the BnW negative scans either too grainy or very underexposed. care to share with us how u manage the scans? my regular film are Tmax, FP4 and PanF. thanks! |

Minolta DiMage 5400 for sale
Sorry I repost here because not many people are into film scanning nowadays. ![]() Its a good scanner considering the Nikon I had previously but I'm selling not because of digital cameras but simply because I have no time to use it. Last time I checked at CP, they have no more stock. Here is your chance. |
