The Nikon coolscan 3 has ICE. There is one going for $150 in Buy and Sell.

EDIT : Oops, it has been sold off.

I think the better ones are those from Minolta and Nikon (for prosumer). Alternatively those flatbeds from Epson and Canon with Neg/Slide adapter do fine, but lesser quality but good overall. There is also a Yahoo Group for the Minolta 5400 if I did not remember wrongly.

hi Westray,
i went your gallery, you have some good photo to show.
i used a minolta dual scanner dual 3, but i always find the BnW negative scans either too grainy or very underexposed. care to share with us how u manage the scans? my regular film are Tmax, FP4 and PanF.
thanks!

Default Minolta Dimage 5400 for sale

Minolta DiMage 5400 for sale

Sorry I repost here because not many people are into film scanning nowadays.

Its a good scanner considering the Nikon I had previously but I'm selling not because of digital cameras but simply because I have no time to use it.

Last time I checked at CP, they have no more stock. Here is your chance.
